Excellence Forum Outsourcing 2026: The New Outsourcing Compass - Costs, Control, AI

Onshore, Nearshore, AI – What's Moving Where

The 8th Excellence Forum Outsourcing addresses the questions currently shaping the future of outsourcing:

Which outsourcing models still make economic sense? Where is greater control needed instead of increasing complexity? And what role will AI play in governance, quality, and performance measurement?

Under the theme "The New Outsourcing Compass – Costs, Control, AI," decision-makers, outsourcing professionals, and industry experts will discuss how onshore, nearshore, and AI are reshaping sourcing strategies – strategically, economically, and operationally.

Rather than a traditional conference format, the forum focuses on peer-to-peer exchange. Through case studies, keynote presentations, and an interactive BarCamp, participants are encouraged to contribute their own questions, experiences, and perspectives.

This event is designed for everyone who wants to rethink outsourcing and vendor management—not just manage it.

Who should attend – and what you will take away

The Excellence Forum Outsourcing 2026 is designed for professionals who do more than simply outsource services—they are responsible for managing them effectively and creating lasting value.

This forum is aimed at decision-makers and professionals working in:

  • Vendor Management
  • Outsourcing
  • Service Partner Management
  • Performance Management
  • Quality Assurance
  • Customer Service
  • Transformation

In 2026, traditional approaches to vendor management are no longer enough. Many outsourcing models are under increasing economic pressure. Onshore, nearshore and AI are reshaping roles, cost structures and service delivery.

Traditional KPIs often provide too little insight—or reveal issues too late.

Anyone responsible for external service delivery today needs a new approach to governance: greater transparency, more reliable quality metrics, stronger risk indicators, and clear decisions about what should remain in-house, be outsourced, automated, or fundamentally redesigned.

That is exactly what the 8th Excellence Forum Outsourcing is about: providing practical insights, strategic orientation and peer-to-peer exchange for professionals who want to shape the future of outsourcing and vendor management—not simply administer it.

Your benefits:

  • Shape the future: Compare the status quo in your company with new approaches.
  • Celebrate successes: Identify what is already working well in your organization.
  • Experience exclusivity: A maximum of 20 participants for intensive exchange.
  • Innovation live: Concrete results you can apply immediately in your daily work.
  • Pure inspiration: Venue, program, and participants are all geared toward your progress.

HAFENdach Münster – Breathtaking Views Guarantee

HAFENdach Münster is located in one of the city's most vibrant districts: the harbour area, within the VR Bank Westfalen-Lippe eG building. Easy to reach, modern, and offering breathtaking panoramic views across Münster, it provides the ideal setting for our event.

For the 8th Excellence Forum Outsourcing, we have deliberately chosen this venue to create an exclusive environment for around 20 participants – personal, focused, and designed for meaningful peer-to-peer exchange.

The venue perfectly reflects the spirit of the forum: a space for strategic thinking above, with everything conveniently close at hand below. Guests arriving by car can use the public Hafengarage parking facility located in the same building, with access via Bernhard-Ernst-Straße.

The result is a venue designed to encourage valuable conversations, meaningful networking, and focused discussions – without the distractions of a large trade fair or conference centre.

Excellence Forum Outsourcing 2026 – Day 1 Agenda

The program for the first day

1:00 p.m. – Welcome: The New Outsourcing Compass: Costs, Control, and AI

8th Excellence Forum Outsourcing 2026: Onshore, Nearshore, AI – What's Moving Where?

The sourcing landscape is being reshaped. Many outsourcing models are no longer financially viable – whether for clients, service providers, or both. Traditional performance metrics no longer provide reliable guidance, and established management approaches are falling behind today's reality.

Florian Senda and Bernhard Gandolf introduce a new outsourcing compass: Which option truly delivers the best value? Which approaches remain manageable and under control? And where is AI fundamentally changing the rules of the game?

They set the direction:

  • away from models optimized for yesterday's challenges,
  • towards a sourcing strategy that re-evaluates onshore, nearshore, and AI-powered automation,
  • and towards performance metrics that finally bring together cost, control, and quality.

1:20 p.m. – Keynote speech: Your Name Could Be Here

Seizing opportunities, understanding risks, shaping the future

The opening keynote takes an honest look at the impact of AI and performance metrics on outsourcing management. Where are governance, quality, and compliance fundamentally changing – and where are they not?

Expect a keynote that offers a clear perspective, draws on real-world experience, and sparks meaningful discussion.

50-minute keynote, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.

02:20 p.m. – Keynote Speaker Wanted

Your Session Title Here

The second keynote should come from the perspective of an AI solution provider – and that's exactly what makes the difference: not an external observer, but an insider's perspective.

What can AI really deliver in outsourcing today? We are looking for a keynote that provides an honest and transparent assessment of AI's opportunities, limitations, and the crucial question: Which promises truly hold up in practice?

50-minute keynote, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.

Interested? We'd love to hear from you. Get in touch.

3:20 p.m. – Networking break for professional exchange

Strengthening exchange, deepening connections, advancing ideas

After the first two keynotes, it’s time for a short refreshment – and for inspiring conversations. The networking break invites you to exchange ideas with other participants in a relaxed atmosphere, make new connections, and reflect on your impressions. Use this moment to dive deeper into questions, share experiences, or gain new perspectives. Often, it is precisely these encounters that generate the most valuable impulses for the rest of the day and beyond.

3:50 p.m. – Practitioner Session: Nearshore — From Option to Strategic Pillar in Customer Service

Christopher Pagel, 1&1 Telecommunication

Christopher Pagel, Head of Outsourcing Service II at 1&1 Telecommunication, shares a practitioner account at the 8th Exzellenzforum Outsourcing.

In his 30-minute session, Christopher traces how 1&1 has developed its nearshore approach over the past five years — from early pilots through operational challenges to full strategic integration in the service model.

  • What worked?
  • What didn't?
  • And what would they do differently today?

This session is for anyone who refuses to reduce nearshore to a cost lever — and instead sees it as a serious design option for resilient, quality-driven service organisations.

30 minutes plus 10 minutes Q&A.

4:30 p.m. – Case Study Speaker Wanted

We are looking for a case study that gets to the point.ice

We are looking for a case study that gets to the point.

30 minutes showing how outsourcing, vendor management, or AI-supported governance works in real life – with real decisions, real challenges, and real outcomes.

No gloss, no theory. Just practical experience.

Interested? Get in touch with us.

5:10 p.m. – Wrap-Up and Break Before the Evening Programme

Bringing together the key insights, strengthening connections, and setting the stage for the evening.

After an afternoon of strategic discussions, fresh ideas, and open debate, Bernhard Gandolf and Florian Senda highlight the key takeaways:

  • What will stay with us?
  • What is changing?
  • What will we take into Day 2?

Afterwards, we open the doors to the evening programme – the perfect opportunity to continue the conversation, strengthen professional relationships, and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.

5:30 p.m. – Break until the evening program

Time to breathe

After an intensive first day of the forum, we intentionally create a moment to slow down. Take this time to recharge – whether you'd like to freshen up, catch your breath, or simply enjoy a quiet moment before we come together for the evening programme.
